Austin Prep is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Putnam Science Academy. The Cougars never let Putnam Science Academy get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

Austin Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Putnam Science Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8-1.

Coming up, Austin Prep is taking a road trip to take on Lawrence Academy on Monday. As for Putnam Science Academy, they will take on Avon Old Farms at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
