After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy School of Sport Sciences Maroon, the Logos Prep Academy Lions were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Divine Savior Academy - Sienna by a score of 52-40.
Logos Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyle Ratliff out in front who scored 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Ratliff has scored at least 25% of Logos Prep Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Sedgwick, who scored 13 points.
Several Rays players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elijah Cortright, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Abboud, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Divine Savior Academy - Sienna were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Logos Prep Academy only pulled down four.
Logos Prep Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 2-4. As for Divine Savior Academy - Sienna, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logos Prep Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Faith West Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Divine Savior Academy - Sienna, they will head out on the road to face off against Family Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
