The Hagerty Huskies had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 41-3 victory over University on the road. The result was nothing new for Hagerty, who have now won five contests by 32 points or more so far this season.
Hagerty can attribute much of their success to Jalon Lewis, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 42 receiving yards. Porter Williams also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Hagerty's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points per game. As for University, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Hagerty will be playing in front of their home fans against Spruce Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for University, they will head out on the road to face off against Colonial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colonial is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
