The Institute of Tech Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Homer Trojans at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Institute of Tech is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Homer in New York (Institute of Tech is ranked 171st, while Homer is ranked 500th).
Institute of Tech pushed their score all the way to 76 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 83-76 to Chittenango. Institute of Tech has not had much luck with Chittenango recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Homer, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-44 loss to Skaneateles last Thursday.
Institute of Tech has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Homer, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Institute of Tech took their win against Homer in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 70-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Institute of Tech since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
