The Leland Cubs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a hard 58-39 fall against South Delta. Leland has not had much luck with South Delta recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
It was another big night for Jamichael Green, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds for South Delta. Green hasn't dropped below 15points for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Amarion Sanders, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Leland dropped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for South Delta, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Leland will head out on the road to face off against West Tallahatchie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Tallahatchie is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for South Delta, they will be playing at home against West Bolivar at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
