Despite the defeat, Salem Baptist Christian got a solid performance out of Garrett Trinkle, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. Trinkle scored a full 51.3% of Salem Baptist Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Demetri Ioannou, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Their wins bumped Gospel Light Christian to 6-1 and Alamance Christian to 6-1.
Everything came up roses for Gospel Light Christian against Salem Baptist Christian in their previous meeting back in November as the squad secured a 64-16 victory.
