It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Lake Highlands Wildcats can now relate to. They suffered a tough 44-24 loss at the hands of Prosper on Friday. Lake Highlands' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Nathan Tenbarge was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Bryce Robinson, who rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Lake Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Prosper, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Lake Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Prosper will square off against North Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Crowley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully Prosper likes a good challenge.
