The Wisner-Pilger Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Howells-Dodge. Wisner-Pilger has struggled against Howells-Dodge recently, as their match on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Wisner-Pilger lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nevaeh Brown, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Kneifl, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Wisner-Pilger smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Howells-Dodge only pulled down five offensive rebounds.
Howells-Dodge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylie Brichacek, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brichacek has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Ratzlaff, who scored 13 points.
Wisner-Pilger has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Howells-Dodge, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
