The North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays will take on the Tri-Township Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. North Judson-San Pierre is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.
Last Friday, North Judson-San Pierre narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past West Central 48-46. Given the Bluejays' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Trojans are ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Judson-San Pierre's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyleigh Lehiy led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Lehiy is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Avaree Johnston, who posted 11 points and five assists.
North Judson-San Pierre smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tri-Township really took it to Boone Grove for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-22 win. With the Tigers ahead 29-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
North Judson-San Pierre better focus on containing Jayde Pryor and Emma Armentia as the pair were huge in Tri-Township's win. Pryor had 14 points in addition to eight boards and five assists, while Armentia went 9 of 14 on her way to 18 points along with seven boards and five steals. Those five assists gave Pryor a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Minton, who posted four points and nine boards.
Tri-Township's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Judson-San Pierre has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Tri-Township struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
North Judson-San Pierre came up short against Tri-Township when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 45-35. Will North Judson-San Pierre have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
