It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the University Cougars had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They snuck past the Wildcats with a 37-32 win. The victory was familiar territory for University who now have five in a row.
Hudson Maurer was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points. Another player making a difference was Mo Kamara, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
University is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Winter Park, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.
University's road trip will continue as they head out to face Apopka at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Winter Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
