The Mid Valley Spartans will look to defend their home field  on Monday against the Western Wayne Wildcats at 6:30  p.m. Mid Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7  runs per game  this season.

 Meanwhile, Western Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Sunday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They lost  12-2 to Tri-Valley.
 Western Wayne saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ethan Lamberton, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Mike Durso, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Mid Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Western Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
Western Wayne's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Mid Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .325. It's a different story for Western Wayne, though, as  they've  only  averaged .236. Will they be able to contain Mid Valley's hitters?
