They really took it to Columbus for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-23 win at home. 60 seems to be a good number for Smiths Station as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Smiths Station's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tasha Judkins, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. Judkins is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jasmyn Thomas, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Columbus struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Smiths Station racked up 13.
Smiths Station's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Columbus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Smiths Station will head out on the road to face off against Booker T. Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Booker T. Washington will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Columbus will take on Jordan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
