North Central and North Knox played the closest game in Southwest Seven this week, with North Central eventually emerging with a 27-21 victory. Chase VanSchoyck ran for 215 yards and caught 2 passes for 45 yards during the win.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Thunderbirds' Briar Martindale and Cody Hopkins have proven to be a lethal combination. Martindale has thrown for 662 yards this season, while Hopkins, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 10 catches for 334 yards. The Thunderbirds' VanSchoyck leads the league in rushing yards with 894.
