The Wister Wildcats will head out to face off against the Rejoice Christian Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wister has six straight victories, Rejoice Christian has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Wister's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Lindsay. The eight-run effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Kord Fenton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dartyn Meeks, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Easton Turnipseed, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Wister always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Rejoice Christian came up short against Plainview on Tuesday, falling 11-1.
Rejoice Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Lawson, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Wister pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.9 runs. As for Rejoice Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Wister beat Rejoice Christian 7-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2018. Does Wister have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rejoice Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
