Lynnden Hodge's Big Game Leads Buena Park over University
Starting off the list is Buena Park's Lynnden Hodge, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hodge rushed for 218 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 74 receiving yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 131 rushing yards.

While University might've come up empty on Friday, Carl Oldham wasn't going down without a fight. Oldham turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 107 receiving yards and a touchdown. University is 3-1 when Oldham posts 80 or more receiving yards, but 0-3 otherwise.
On the season, Oldham has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 85.3 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 3.43 receiving yards per game.

A Season-Best Effort from Joshua Whang Leads Portola over Katella
On Friday, Portola got the W thanks in part to Joshua Whang playing the best football he has all season. Whang rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.
Portola's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. Whang and Portola will take on University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
