Even though the Middleton Cardinals scored an imposing 73 points on Thursday, the Sun Prairie West Wolves still came out on top. Sun Prairie West snuck past Middleton with a 77-73 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sun Prairie West.
It was another big night for Chris Davis Jr, who scored 42 points along with three steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Sun Prairie West's points. Tavian Crawford was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Sun Prairie West pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Middleton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sun Prairie West will challenge Sun Prairie East at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sun Prairie East has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 851 points over their last 11 contests. Middleton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Janesville Parker at 5:15 p.m. on January 13th. Janesville Parker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 365th, while Middleton is ranked 102nd).
