Crown Point is 1-6 against Schroon Lake since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Crown Point Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Schroon Lake Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, Crown Point was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-30 to Keene Central. Crown Point has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Schroon Lake was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 38-34 to Seton Catholic Central. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Schroon Lake in their matchups with Seton Catholic Central: they've now lost four in a row.
Crown Point bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Schroon Lake, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Crown Point took a serious blow against Schroon Lake in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 67-31. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Crown Point was down 37-16.
