The Bryan Bears lost against the Gretna Dragons back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bryan suffered a rough 73-49 defeat at the hands of Gretna. Bryan has struggled against Gretna recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Bryan still got an impressive performance from A'mare Bynum, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four blocks. Rylan Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals and two blocks.
Gretna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kade Cook, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Pokorski, who scored 20 points.
Bryan's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Gretna, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
Bryan will head out on the road to challenge Westview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gretna, they will square off against Pembroke Hill at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday. Gretna has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 412 points over their last six matches.
