The Clinton Prairie Gophers will square off against the Western Boone Stars at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Western Boone took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Clinton Prairie, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Clinton Prairie turned things around against Seeger on Thursday. They managed a 53-47 victory over the Patriots.

Abbey Swan was nothing short of spectacular: she went 9 of 11 on her way to 20 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Taymorgan102 Taylor Morgan, who went 5 of 10 en route to 14 points.
Clinton Prairie was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Western Boone came up short against Fountain Central on Thursday and fell 49-39. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Mustangs are ranked 123rd).
Clinton Prairie will have to keep a close watch on Olivia Reagan and Ally Lewis, a pair of players who had a big impact on Western Boone's prior game. Reagan posted ten points and eight rebounds, while Lewis had 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Lewis has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Clinton Prairie's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Western Boone, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Clinton Prairie has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 24.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Western Boone struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Clinton Prairie couldn't quite finish off Western Boone in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 28-26. Can Clinton Prairie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
