Atascocita (Humble, Texas) took an early lead against
Kingwood (Texas) and held on for a 31-17 victory on Saturday.
The Eagles put up 14 points in the opening quarter. Atascocita scored on a
Greg Campbell touchdown run and a touchdown run by Campbell.
After taking the lead on a Campbell touchdown run in the first quarter, AHS led 20-11 at the half.
The Humble school saw its 9-point halftime lead decrease to seven entering the fourth.
The Eagles came in allowing an average of 24.4 points per game this season.
With the win Atascocita extended its winning streak to four games.
Kingwood (6-2) goes up against Westfield in a 5A Region II District 13 game matchup next week, while Atascocita (7-1) locks horns with Dekaney also in a 5A Region II District 13 game.
