The Southaven Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Lewisburg on the road and fell 66-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southaven has scored all season.
Leading Lewisburg to victory were Allie Carroll and Allison Irby. Carroll dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Irby scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The match was Irby's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alicia Kautzky, who scored 11 points.
Southaven's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for Lewisburg, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Southaven will be home for the holidays to greet Olive Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewisburg, they will square off against Wynne at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
