Sycamore (Ill.) took the lead for good when
Devin Mottet ran for a touchdown with 9:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat
Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, Ill.) 33-28 on Saturday.
The Spartans led 13-7 at halftime, but the Roadrunners recaptured the lead on a touchdown run with 2:00 left in the third.
By the end of the third, Sycamore found itself trailing by two points as Nazareth Academy captured the lead thanks to two scores in the quarter. NA scored on a rushing touchdown and a touchdown run in the quarter.
The LaGrange Park school came in giving up 17.2 points per game this season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Nazareth Academy, who notched a 37-13 victory over Brooks College Prep in its previous outing.
