Benton won the last time they faced West Branch and things went their way on Friday too. The Bobcats were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bears. Considering the Bobcats have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Benton is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for West Branch, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.

Looking ahead, Benton will host Solon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Branch, they will square off against West Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Comets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
