Magruder won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 45-24 defeat at the hands of Churchill. Magruder has struggled against Churchill recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Seneca Valley entered their tilt with Richard Montgomery with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Seneca Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Richard Montgomery on Tuesday and snuck past 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Seneca Valley has posted yet this season.
Seneca Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mina Hashemzadeh, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Jayden Addison was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with four steals.
Magruder has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Seneca Valley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
