Given Griffith's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while River Forest is ranked 409th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Griffith to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Chandler, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Savon Miles, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Griffith is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for River Forest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Griffith won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Andrean at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Andrean is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for River Forest, River Forest and Lake Station Edison will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lake Station Edison is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
