The Rock Hills Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 58-42 fall against St. John's/Tipton Catholic. Rock Hills has not had much luck with St. John's/Tipton Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Rock Hills lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cooper McDill. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. McDill scored a full 35.7% of Rock Hills' points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Tristyn Reynolds was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
St. John's/Tipton Catholic found their leader in underclassman Edward Horinek, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Larocque, who scored five points along with three steals.
Rock Hills bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Rock Hills will head out on the road to face off against Lawrence-Nelson on Tuesday. Lawrence-Nelson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, they will be playing at home against Osborne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
