Oak Knoll had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 4-10 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Rahway Indians as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Royals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Kaitlin Wincko made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Wincko was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Oak Knoll let Maddie Parks and Abby Han run wild.
