The Jefferson Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua Scotties at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Jefferson got themselves on the board against Broadwater, but Broadwater never followed suit. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over the Bulldogs. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Jefferson had established a 28 point advantage.
Jefferson relied on the efforts of Luke Strizich, who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and Jack Johnson, who rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua entered their tilt with Wolf Point/Frazer/Lustre Christian with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua beat Wolf Point/Frazer/Lustre Christian on Friday by the very same score they won with last week: 41-6. The result was nothing new for Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua, who have now won three matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Their wins bumped Jefferson to 5-4 and Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua to 4-4.
