While losing is never fun, Oasis Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 661st, while Geneva Classical Academy is ranked 286th).
Karsyn Roberts was Oasis Christian's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Amber Whittington held things down on the boards with four rebounds.
Oasis Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Geneva Classical Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oasis Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McLaughlin at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. McLaughlin comes in on a streak of failing to score more than nine points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Geneva Classical Academy, they will be playing at home against Excel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
