Adding to the longest winning streak in Cross County this week, Covington beat Notre Dame 46-0. The victory was the 11th in a row for the team.
Covington took down the Titans 46-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Garrett Griffin threw for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 11-27 with 4 interceptions.
Griffin put up the best numbers in passing as National Trail lost to Mechanicsburg. Griffin's favorite target this week was Bailey Stewart, who caught 5 passes for 86 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Blazers' Griffin and Devin Mize have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Griffin has thrown for 3,098 yards this season, while Mize has 59 catches for 950 yards. Ansonia's Jordan Newman leads the league in rushing yards with 1,443.
So far this year, he has garnered 59 catches for 950 yards.
Miami East made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,951 from 3,267. The improvement was largely due to a 38-14 victory over Tri-County North last week.
