The Merit Preparatory Academy Knights posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. Everything went their way against Utah Military Academy - Hill Field as Merit Preparatory Academy made off with a 39-18 win. The team accrued 30 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Merit Preparatory Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stella Sutherland, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sutherland has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Moody, who scored ten points.
The win makes it two in a row for Merit Preparatory Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-10. As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Merit Preparatory Academy will face off against Waterford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, they will head out on the road to face off against Intermountain Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
