The Bishop Snyder Cardinals will venture away from home to square off against the Yulee Hornets at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Snyder is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
Bishop Snyder is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Harvest Community: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Bishop Snyder blew Harvest Community out of the water with a 53-17 final score. The Cardinals pushed the score to 43-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Snyder to victory, but perhaps none more so than Saige Grace, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 12 points along with eight rebounds and eight blocks. Those 12 points gave Grace a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Gaines, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.
Bishop Snyder smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 13 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Yulee hadn't done well against Fernandina Beach recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Yulee strolled past Fernandina Beach with points to spare, taking the game 46-32.
Bishop Snyder better keep an eye on Rheyna Hilton. She was instrumental in Yulee's win, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 12 boards. The matchup was Hilton's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Kelsi Cornegay was another key player, putting up six points along with seven boards and five blocks.
Bishop Snyder is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Yulee, their record now sits at 3-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bishop Snyder has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32 boards per game. However, it's not like Yulee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Bishop Snyder strolled past Yulee when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 67-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Snyder since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
