After a string of eight wins, Southwestern's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Pulaski County 14-21. The defeat was a vexing one since Southwestern were expected to win based on their state ranking.
With their first loss of the season, Southwestern fell to 8-1. The win bumped Pulaski County's record up to 7-2.
Both teams will be heading out of the conference in their next games. Next week Southwestern will take on Lexington Catholic at 7:30 PM. Southwestern's defense better steel itself: Lexington Catholic are averaging 37.89 points per game. As for Pulaski County, they will face off against Collins. Pulaski County are cruising in on a six-game winning streak while Collins are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
