Basketball Recap: Eaton Piles Up the Points Against Delta

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eaton). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Delta Panthers 74-47. With the Reds ahead 40-20 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

It was another big night for Noah Sprinkle, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.8 boards per game. Rowen Meissinger was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Eaton was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

The win got Eaton back to even at 2-2. As for Delta, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eaton will head out to take on Fort Lupton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Fort Lupton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Delta, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Delta Panthers take on the Grand Junction Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Grand Junction knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Delta likes a good challenge.
