Volleyball Recap: Refugio Comes Up Short at Home Against Falls City

Refugio unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Falls City Beavers on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Refugio had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-18.

Refugio lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Caylee Collins, who had four digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cedie Wills, who had ten digs.

Coming up, Refugio will challenge Taft at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Falls City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Poth at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
