Softball Recap: Whitehall's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Whitehall had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Orchard View Cardinals get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Vikings have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Megan Leatrea made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Leatrea was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 12 games.

In other batting news, Annabel Kevwitch was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Janie Fagan was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Whitehall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Whitehall's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Orchard View, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Coming up, Whitehall will take on Zeeland East at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Orchard View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
