Century has gone 9-1 against Newberg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Jaguars will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Newberg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Century, who comes in off a win.
Century took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand North Salem a 17-0 shutout. That looming 17-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Jaguars yet this season.
Damien Elizarraras made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Elizarraras was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
