Canfield and West Branch are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. Meanwhile, West Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to Carrollton. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Carrollton since on Wednesday.
West Branch's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Canfield, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
Canfield couldn't quite finish off West Branch in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
