Culpeper County is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Chancellor is on a nine-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Having just played yesterday, the Culpeper County Blue Devils will get right back to it and host the Chancellor Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: amyah robinson and Kendall Scott.
On Thursday, Culpeper County came up short against King George and fell 64-53.
Meanwhile, Chancellor put the finishing touches on their 16th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 72-28 victory over King George at home.
Chancellor's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Scott, who scored 18 points along with six assists and four steals. Scott hasn't dropped below three steals for 13 straight games. Maya Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Culpeper County's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Chancellor, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.
Culpeper County was dealt a bruising 84-38 defeat at the hands of Chancellor in their previous matchup back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Culpeper County was down 47-17.
