Last Tuesday, Leading Edge Academy - GEC was able to grind out a solid victory over Bisbee, taking the game 57-48.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mathew Solaiza out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Solaiza is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sam Sutherland, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lincoln Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Cruz Valley.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Lincoln Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC was able to grind out a solid victory over Lincoln Prep in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, winning 64-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Leading Edge Academy - GEC since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
