The Climax-Scotts Panthers and the Colon Magi will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Climax-Scotts has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Climax-Scotts beat Quincy 53-41.
Colon proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 33) but on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-49 victory over Homer. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Colon.
Colon found their leader in underclassman Dalton Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nic Mock, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
Climax-Scotts' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for Colon, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
