Glendale is 0-10 against the Blue Pirates since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Glendale Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Williamsburg Blue Pirates at 7:15 p.m. Glendale is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Glendale came up short against the Cougars and fell 56-45. While losing is never fun, Glendale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 642nd, while the Cougars are ranked 278th).
Meanwhile, Williamsburg ended up a good deal behind the Spartans on Monday and lost 66-50.
Glendale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Williamsburg, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.
Glendale and the Blue Pirates were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but the Vikings came up empty-handed after a 32-31 loss. Can Glendale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
