The St. Paul Cardinals and the Temple Christian Eagles squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the St. Paul Cardinals had to settle for second. St. Paul suffered a tough 41-20 loss at the hands of Temple Christian.
Temple Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zade Darter, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown. Darter's longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Caffey, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown.
St. Paul has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Temple Christian, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-6.
St. Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Temple Christian will take on First Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 538 points over their last ten matchups.
