Chaputnguak's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Tirchick, who scored 12 points. Darren Mathew was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The victory got Chaputnguak back to even at 3-3. As for Nightmute Elitnaurviat, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Chaputnguak will play host again and welcome Chief Paul Memorial, where tip off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. Chief Paul Memorial is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Nightmute Elitnaurviat will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Nuniwarmiut at 8:15 p.m. on January 27th. Nuniwarmiut comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
