Central Carolina Prep posted their closest win yet this season on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Charlotte Elite Academy 72-70. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Central Carolina Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Taylor, who scored 16 points. Andre Pierre was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Raleigh HomeSchool's 13-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They came out on top against Friendship Christian by a score of 54-44. Raleigh HomeSchool's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Central Carolina Prep's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Raleigh HomeSchool, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-7.
Central Carolina Prep won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, slipping by Raleigh HomeSchool 1-0.
