Blairsville will look to defend their home turf on Friday against West Shamokin at 7:00 PM. Blairsville aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.
After having lost a blowout to United in their previous matchup, Blairsville were happy to find some success last Friday. Blairsville were able to grind out a solid victory over Saltsburg, winning 38-26. Senior Devin Burkhart was the offensive standout of the match for Blairsville, as he threw 3 TDs and picked up 61 yards on the ground.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at halftime, but West Shamokin weren't quite Northern Cambria's equal in the second half when they met. West Shamokin suffered a grim 14-36 defeat to Northern Cambria.
Blairsville's win lifted them to 1-2 while West Shamokin's defeat dropped them down to 2-1. We'll see if Blairsville's success rolls on or if West Shamokin are able to steal their positive momentum.
