Jaxon Knutson Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sadly, Jaxon Knutson posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead McClintock over Campo Verde on Friday. Knutson threw for 527 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78% of his passes, and also rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.
For the year, Knutson has thrown 47 touchdowns (and and only 5 picks) while averaging 345.1 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after ten games last season, he had 30 passing touchdowns.

A Season-Best Effort from Karsten Lee Leads Campo Verde over Mcclintock
Campo Verde was led to victory by Karsten Lee, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Lee threw for 206 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown.
The win (which was Campo Verde's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3. Lee and Campo Verde will challenge ALA - Gilbert North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Amari Scroggins Crosses Big Stat Threshold
McClintock came up short on Friday despite Amari Scroggins delivering his best game to date. Scroggins picked up 250 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (102.8). He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 91 yards.
On the year, Scroggins has caught 12 touchdowns while averaging 102.8 receiving yards per game.
