The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wright City, who took down 287th ranked Clopton/Elsberry, 28-22.
North Callaway extended the longest winning streak in Eastern Missouri this week by beating Van-Far, 46-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Montgomery County's dynamic duo of Evan Milner and Nick Martin proved tough for Bowling Green to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Milner threw for 130 yards and three touchdowns and Martin had 60 yards receiving. Colt Ellis helped Montgomery County's passing attack out by catching three balls for 59 yards.
Vance Allen was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 104 yards on six carries as North Callaway defeated the Bobcats. Paul Zerr also contributed to the rushing game with 21 yards on the ground.
Clopton/Elsberry's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jack Hicks has thrown for 1086 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Charles Fraction has 26 catches for 586 yards. Hicks also leads the league in rushing with 812 yards.
A big matchup in Eastern Missouri this week will be when the Hawks take on Mike Emmons' team. At the moment, Clopton/Elsberry is in third, while the Thunderbirds are in first.
Montgomery County took down Bowling Green 62-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. Milner ran for 46 yards in the win.
