The Bruton Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Jamestown Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bruton will be strutting in after a victory while Jamestown will be coming in after a loss.
Bruton was handed a 24-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They skirted past Lafayette 4-2. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Summer Hannam (Richard Bland) made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Hannam (Richard Bland) was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one triple, and one stolen base. Hannam (Richard Bland) is crushing it when it comes to triples: she's hit at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Taylor Mass was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Califano, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Jamestown came up short against Warhill on Monday, falling 9-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Zoe Mayes (Marymount University) made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Jamestown now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bruton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bruton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Jamestown struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Bruton couldn't quite finish off Jamestown when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 8-6. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
