Deep Run gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Cosby Titans by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deep Run will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Thomas Dale at 7:15 p.m. on September 4. As for Cosby, they will venture away from home to face off against Clover Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Titans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
